18/8 stainless steel refers to stainless steel containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. This stainless steel is also called 304 stainless steel. However, it also has three other identifications and names: 06Cr19Ni10, 304, and SUS304. 06Cr19Ni10 generally indicates national standard production, 304 generally indicates American ASTM standard production, and SUS304 indicates Japanese standard production.
SUS304 stainless steel characteristics:
Corrosion resistance: It has good chemical corrosion resistance, especially in oxidizing acids.
Mechanical properties: It has high tensile strength and yield strength, suitable for various processing and forming operations.
Processing performance: It is easy to cold work and heat treat, suitable for manufacturing various products, such as plates, tubes, wires, strips, etc.
