316LN stainless steel pipe

316LN stainless steel, the so -called Ao's stainless steel, adds N elements to 316L steel to allow it to have 316N performance. 316Ln is added to 316L steel to obtain the same performance as 316N steel. 316 Low nickel stainless steel is equivalent to 316 low nickel steel, but it has excellent characteristics in the corrosion of the anti -crystal world. The 316LN is a low-carbon-controlled nitrogen-type Austeen stainless steel. It has good thermal plasticity, but has a strong resistance to the variability. Generally, it is formed at high temperature at 800-1200 ° C.

Dimension Manufacturing Tolerance
Outside Diameter (OD) ±0.005 inches (±0.13 mm) or as per applicable standard
Wall Thickness As specified by the standard, typically with an allowable tolerance of ±10% of the nominal wall thickness
Length Typically ±1/8 inch (±3.2 mm) for cut lengths, but it can vary depending on the manufacturing method and standard
Straightness Depending on the standard, pipes are expected to be reasonably straight, with some permissible deviation
Ovality Often specified as a percentage of the OD, e.g., ≤1%
Surface Finish As per the applicable standard, often specified in terms of roughness (e.g., Ra ≤ 0.8 μm)
Roundness Typically specified as a maximum deviation from a perfect circle, e.g., ≤1% of OD

  TP316LN stainless steel tube application
Application Description
Chemical Processing Used in the construction of chemical reactors, storage tanks, and piping systems where resistance to corrosive chemicals is essential. The low carbon and nitrogen content of 316LN make it suitable for these applications.
Petrochemical Industry Ideal for applications in the petrochemical sector, including the transportation of corrosive fluids, processing of hydrocarbons, and construction of heat exchangers and refineries.
Pharmaceutical Industry Utilized in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of sterile fluids and chemicals, where corrosion resistance and hygienic properties are crucial.
Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Used in offshore and onshore environments for the transportation of oil, gas, and other hydrocarbons. It offers resistance to both corrosion and high-pressure conditions.
Marine Applications Widely employed in the marine sector for shipbuilding, offshore structures, and equipment exposed to seawater. Its corrosion resistance ensures durability in harsh marine environments.
Food and Beverage Industry Utilized in the food and beverage industry for processing equipment, storage tanks, and pipelines due to its corrosion resistance and easy cleanability.
Power Generation (Nuclear and Thermal) Commonly used in power plants, including nuclear and thermal power generation facilities, for piping, heat exchangers, and steam systems.
