AISI 434 is a stainless steel containing 17% to 19% chromium, 9% to 13% nickel, 8% to 0.12% titanium, and 0.2% to 1% tantalum. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, especially good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Commonly used in the manufacture of high-temperature stoves, chemical equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, etc. The existence, type and distribution of precipitates or precipitates will all affect the performance of AISI 434. The grains of AISI 434 can also hinder the propagation of cracks and improve the tensile strength and fracture toughness of AISI 434.

The chemical composition of AISI 434 is: Chromium (Cr): 24.0-26.0%, Nickel (Ni): 6.0-8.0%, Molybdenum (Mo): 3.0-4.0%, Copper (Cu): 0.5% max, Nitrogen (N) : 0.20-0.30%, iron (Fe): balance. Tempering treatment can reduce residual stress and improve the performance of AISI 434. AISI 434 can be used in aviation, automobiles, construction and other fields.

The principle of AISI 434 welding is similar to that of general welding, mainly including the steps of heat transfer, metal melting, weld formation and heat-affected zone generation. Excessive dimensional deviation will lead to a decrease in the mechanical properties of AISI 434, especially its corrosion resistance and strength.

In general, the organizational structure of AISI 434 is one of the decisive factors in its performance. By regulating the organizational structure, applications under different performance requirements can be achieved. In addition to sulfur and phosphorus, other impurity elements such as iron, aluminum, silicon, titanium, zirconium, etc. will also affect the performance of AISI 434.
