2. Overview
Inconel 625 is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformed alloy with Mo and Nb as the main strengthening elements. It has good durability performance, fatigue performance, yang chemical resistance and corrosion resistance below 650. It has good strength and toughness from low temperature to 1095 temperature range. Cold working can be used to increase the strength of Inconel 625 alloy. Inconel 625 can resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and can be used as jet engine components, aerospace structural components and chemical equipment.

The main purpose:
ALLOY 625 softened and annealed type (Grade 1) is suitable for use in the chemical processing industry, marine engineering and environmental pollution control equipment. include:
Equipment for producing super phosphoric acid
Nuclear waste reprocessing equipment
Pipes for acid gas production
Riser pipes for oil exploration and their exteriors
Offshore industrial and marine equipment
Exhaust gas scrubber and damper components
flue lining
Solution-annealed ALLOY 625 can be used in ASME code compliant pressure vessels in high temperature applications up to approximately 1000°C (1830°F). In calculations for designing equipment for use in the temperature range of approximately 500 to 1000°C (930 to 1830°F), the loss of ductility due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures in this range must be considered.
include:
Components of exhaust gas cleaning systems and exhaust gas cleaning plants exposed to high temperatures
Flare stacks at refineries and offshore platforms
Heat exchangers and compensators
Submarine diesel engine exhaust system
Heating tubes in waste incineration plants
Water pipe walls and heating pipe cladding in waste incineration plants
6. Processing performance and welding process
Inconel 625 can be processed using general processing techniques. However, the deformation resistance is relatively large in the hot processing temperature range. Therefore, high-power forging equipment is required. When working with Inconel 625 at or below 650, it is recommended to use the material in hot rolled, cold rolled or factory annealed condition depending on the requirements. Since Inconel 625 still has good plasticity and toughness at very low temperatures, in order to be used at medium temperatures, the tensile properties of the alloy can be improved through cold working. When the alloy is working above 650, it is best to use it in the annealed state or solid solution state.
Inconel 625 has good welding properties. In order to maintain the corrosion resistance of Inconel 625 alloy, no heat treatment is performed after welding.
7. Scope of use and purpose
Pipes and plates are mainly used as jet engine components, aerospace structural parts, including honeycomb structures, chemical equipment, devices in contact with seawater, and fuel jackets for atomic reactors.
