444 ss pipe seamless

The yield strength of SUS444 is equivalent to 1.5 times that of carbon steel and 6 times that of fiberglass. It has outstanding properties in terms of earthquake resistance, snow resistance, wind pressure resistance, impact resistance, etc. SUS444 ferritic stainless steel has a high thermal conductivity, about 130% to 150% of that of chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, and is very suitable for heat exchange purposes. The thermal expansion coefficient is small, only 60% to 70% of that of chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, which is very suitable for use under conditions of thermal expansion, cold contraction, and thermal cycles. This type of steel has good plasticity and toughness and is suitable for drawing, rolling forming and stamping manufacturing. In particular, the corrosion resistance is the best. In high chloride media, the corrosion resistance is better than ordinary ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel. Generally, chloride stress corrosion cracking does not occur. After adding Ni, Ti, Mo and other elements, the resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion is improved. This type of steel can be welded using the same method as ordinary stainless steel. This steel type is particularly suitable for food processing equipment, heat exchangers, water heater tanks, water storage tanks, solar collection panels, anti-theft window screens, etc.

Stainless steel is a high-alloy steel that has excellent corrosion resistance because it contains more chromium than other steels.

Stainless steel is divided into three categories based on its crystal structure, namely martensitic steel, austenitic steel and ferritic steel. The combination of martensitic and ferritic steels forms the fourth group, known as precipitation hardening steels.
Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of grade 444 stainless steel is outlined in the following table.

Element Content (%)
Iron, Fe 77.475
Chromium, Cr 18.5
Molybdenum, Mo 2
Nickel, Ni 1
Manganese, Mn 1
Silicon, Si 1
Carbon, C 0.025
product feature
SUS444 (00Cr18Mo2) is an ultra-low carbon nitrogen, containing 18% chromium and 2% molybdenum, high corrosion-resistant ferritic stainless steel. This steel type is generally stabilized with niobium or titanium to avoid intergranular corrosion after welding. This steel grade is particularly suitable for use in various water treatment devices.
SUS444 steel grade is a high-alloy ferritic stainless steel. Compared with the commonly used steel grade SUS430:
1. The chromium content is about 1.0% higher, and the alloying element molybdenum (Mo) is added, so this steel has good resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion. Its corrosion resistance is even better than SUS304 in some fields. and SUS316.
2. Stabilizing elements such as titanium (Ti), niobium (Nb), and zirconium (Zr) are added, so this steel type has good intergranular corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance.
