420J2 Stainless Steel Strip: 420J2 is a medium carbon stainless steel with high hardness and wear resistance. Its chemical composition usually contains about 0.26-0.35% carbon and about 1% chromium. Compared to 420J1, 420J2 has a higher carbon content, resulting in improved hardness and cutting performance. It is often used to make knives, blades, surgical instruments, springs and some mechanical parts.

420J2/420J1/420F stainless steel has certain wear resistance and corrosion resistance, high hardness, and its price is the lowest among stainless steel balls. It is suitable for working environments with common requirements for stainless steel. Suitable for all types of precision machinery, bearings, electrical appliances, equipment, instruments, meters, transportation vehicles, household appliances, etc. It is mostly used to manufacture parts that are resistant to atmospheric, steam, water and oxidizing acid corrosion. 420J1 stainless steel: After quenching, it has high hardness and good corrosion resistance (magnetic). After quenching, 420J2 stainless steel is harder than 420J1 steel (magnetic).

420J2, also called 3Cr13 steel, is a martensitic stainless steel that is used after quenching and tempering. Compared with 1Cr13 and 2Cr13 steel, it has higher strength, hardness and hardenability, but its corrosion resistance and thermal stability below 700℃ are lower than those of 1Cr13 and 2Cr13 steel. The cold working performance and welding performance are not good, and heat treatment should be done immediately after welding to prevent cracking. It has better cutting performance in the annealed state.
