1.4410 super duplex stainless steel is the most widely used super duplex stainless steel grade. The grade is written as 1.4410 or X2CrNiMoN25-7-4 according to EN specifications, and as UNS S32750 or F53 of SAF 2507 according to UNS specifications. We can consider 1.4410 to be a better version of the 1.4462 biphasic scale. Bircelik has the largest inventory of 1.4410 super duplex apartments in Türkiye. 1.4410 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. 1.4410 material is the most widely used super duplex grade and it is not difficult to find this grade in any shape or size. 1.4410 duplex steel can be used in hard corrosive environments and has good mechanical properties.

 

There is a number called the PREN number that indicates the corrosion resistance of materials used in the petrochemical industry. In most petrochemical applications, the minimum required PREN value is 40, and the 1.4410 stainless steel material confirms this PREN value. Therefore, for this reason, 1.4410 super duplex material is mainly used in the petrochemical industry. The Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) formula is very simple and there are several formulas, but the most widely used formula is PREN = %Cr + 3.3 x %Mo + 16 x %N. Therefore, if we use this formula, we can easily find the anti-pitting equivalent number.

 

1.4410 Super Duplex is not the only Super Duplex level. There are two other stainless steel grades that are very common, namely 1.4501 stainless steel and 1.4507 stainless steel. Grade 1.4410 can be used as a replacement for grades 1.4501 and 1.4507 in most applications. 1.4410 stainless steel can be used in oil platforms, chemical production facilities, heat exchangers, power generation facilities and offshore platforms.
